Designing Financially EPIC’s headquarters proved to be an exciting start for our business operations!
Previously utilized as a cleaning and supplies unit for grounds maintenance, we noticed the potential to transform the space into a highly functional, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming office. Original wood beams across the ceiling, ample natural light, and easy access to parking were features that drew us to the space.
Through key negotiations strategies and relationships, we were able to secure a rental lease agreement and immediately begin renovations. While the contractor made necessary improvements to the space, we visited New York City to attend Annisa’s graduation from Columbia University. By the time we returned, our office was move-in ready!
Over the past 5 years, this office has served hundreds of individuals seeking to increase their financial literacy and gain tools to invest in real estate. As a business incubator, eight start-ups have been ideated, planned, and launched since 2018, many of which are women, minority, and veteran-owned. It has also served as a site for building community between our commercial neighbors and for groups across Southern California and beyond.
